The Ink'd Chronicles Family created "Tattoos for the Cure" - a breast cancer charity event that was founded in 2008. It started when shop owner, Terry Dipple, got a pink ribbon tattoo in support of his fiancé, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. Family members and artists also got pink ribbons to show their support. After she was declared cancer free, Terry and the artists agreed to dedicate a day to raising funds and breast cancer awareness by tattooing pink ribbons and donating all proceeds to the breast health program at the Lewis Family Cancer Care Center - where his fiancé was treated. The overwhelming success of the first event made the decision easy to make this an annual event. Tattoos for the Cure draws cancer survivors, family members and supporters from all over the west coast. To date, the event has raised over $24,000 for the breast health program. The 5th annual Tattoos for the Cure will be held in October 2012 and will feature art show, fashion show, live music and of course, pink ribbon tattoos.
